Job Description:
The account executive is the person who sells advertising and works closely with marketing businesses to the station listeners.

Benefits:
Health insurance is available.  2 weeks vacation after completing 1 year of employment.

Experience Required:
WTSN-AM & WBYY-FM, local independently owned radio stations, are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and experienced sales person.  The successful candidate must have 1-2 years of sales experience, be a strong communicator, self starter and be able to work independently. Prior experience includes working directly with clients, demonstrated collaboration and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas. Specific goals and activities will include:  Identifying, prospecting, and closing key accounts.  Consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and demonstrating focused sales efforts.  Generating and qualifying leads through cold calling. Overcoming objections and ability to provide recommendations to upsell and enhance advertising opportunities.  Utilizing a strong knowledge of the client base to develop high-level relationships. Attending face-to-face meetings with current and prospective clients. Working collaboratively with traffic,!
production, announcers and sales team. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking competitive practices; and participating in professional societies. Candidate must have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license and familiarity with the area. Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Preferred but not required: Knowledge of broadcast advertising and sales industries and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Position: General Sales Manager

Job Description:

This person hires and supervises the sales staff, reviews programming for the best sales opportunities, develops sales plans and goals, oversees billing, studies and understands the station’s market and approves all sales promotion campaigns. Some stations have multiple levels of sales managers, including National, Regional and Local sales managers who focus on various aspects of sales.

WTSN-AM & WBYY-FM, local independently owned radio stations are seeking a Director of Sales.  Sales Management experience in commercial radio (3 to 5 years preferred).  Candidate must possess impeccable leadership skills, an effective communicator and contagious enthusiasm for both the product and selling ideas which will work for our clients.  Digital Sales experience is a plus.  Creativity and aggressive problem solving are important traits for the position.  Four year degree preferred.
Skill Requirements:
–       Facility with account and inventory management
–       Strong written and verbal skills
–       Effective time management and organization skills
–       Must be able to work effective in pressure filled sales environment
–       Must be a strong, self-motivated individual with a passion for winning

Responsibilities:
–       Achieve (and exceed) station budgets and forecasts
–       Effectively manage the stations sales department – including inventory management, pricing and negotiations
–       Hire, train and retain the best available talent
–       Develop non-traditional revenue opportunities through creative customer focused advertising programs
–       Be an active advocate for the station on sales calls
–       Motivate sales staff through weekly training and active involvement on sales calls
–       Report revenue forecast and station progress to the Senior Vice President and Business Manager on a weekly basis
–       Collaborate with programming, Senior Vice President and Business Manager as well as Account Executives
–       Responsible for new business development
