NAHJ Conference & Multimedia Training

Looking for some affordable multimedia skills training? Want to network with fellow NAHJ members? Do your annual review goals require you attend a training seminar? Are you an aspiring student journalist or a veteran reporter/editor?
NAHJ Region 2 along with NAHJ New England and Emerson College will be hosting the NAHJ Region 2 Spring Conference.
What: NAHJ Region 2 Conference and Multimedia Training Session
When: Saturday, March 13, 2010
9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Emerson College, 120 Boylston, Boston
Multimedia sessions will include: Audio editing, video editing, video capturing and an introduction to sound slides. (Sessions will be offered throughout the course of the day – so you can attend all four.)
Workshops/panels will include: Covering a Crisis — Lessons learned from Haiti, Katrina and Miracle on the Hudson, Freelancing basics, Turning your internship into a job and What I wish I’d known when I started my career.
Session leaders work for some of the industries leadings outlets including the Associated Press, NBC, NPR, New York Times, Boston Globe, ESPN.com and the Hartford Courant.
Lunch will be provided.

Cost: $25 for NAHJ member, $30 for UNITY members, $40 for non-members.
$10 for NAHJ or UNITY student members, $20 non-member students

Also, funding has been donated so that we can offer registration waivers to 10 student members.
