AAJA is now accepting entries for 2012 National Journalism Awards.
AAJA’s National Journalism Awards, established in 1989, recognize and encourage excellence among journalists and outstanding coverage of Asian American and Pacific Islander issues.  These awards demonstrate the ability of journalists–AAPI and otherwise–to cover the news with authority, sensitivity, insight and an eye towards diversity.

You do not need to be an AAJA member to submit an entry.  Entries may be subject to fees.

Entries are being accepted in the following categories for either “Unlimited Subject Matter” or“Asian American Pacific Islander Issues:”

AAJA is accepting nominations for National President, National Vice President for Broadcast and National Treasurerbeginning March 15, and ending April 30. These positions are for 2-year terms beginning Jan. 1, 2013.

These documents contain the qualifications, responsibilities of office and campaigning rules, which will be enforced by the elections supervisor (in this case, the National Secretary).

Voting will be by paper ballots or electronically. Ballots will be accepted June 1-July 16, and during the UNITY 2012 conventionAug. 1-3.

Meet Yul Kwon THIS Tuesday, 4/3 in Boston!

Yul Kwon, winner of “Survivor: Cooks Island,” and host of the upcoming PBS series America Revealed (premiering Wednesday, April 11th at 10pm on WGBH) will be in town  Tuesday, April 3rd to host a preview screening at Northeastern University, in partnership with the National Association of Asian American Professionals-Boston, and WGBH.

Job Description:
The account executive is the person who sells advertising and works closely with marketing businesses to the station listeners.
